General Parking

12 x 12
oil on 3/4" cradled gesso board

See? Because she's in a park, by a general, and has sort of parked herself there? Ok, maybe it's a stretch. I just needed to spend some time in a sunny, green, presumably warm spot, even if it's in my head since today, here in northeast Indiana, we got another 10 inches of snow. And it seems like it's been snowing ever since mid-December. The news reported that our January total was the highest since the Civil War and I don't doubt it.  But spring's coming, spring is always coming.

  1. Wow! This one is just amazing! I love all the color you found in that general!
I know what you mean about missing the sun. I've been painting some sunny settings also. Looking forward to spring!

  2. Keep it up with the clever titles and you will end up with a side biz helping other people name their paintings! Wonderful color and light on this one, Terri...
