And again, out of the workshop came this exercise of painting from mug shots. This was especially fun to do because it was small and I really started to loosen up, using lots of greens, blues, purples, and grays to express his sallow complexion and mood.
People in the class really got into this one - and have decided to keep it up by doing a series of all our mugs. A great way to keep connected and keep painting. I'm looking forward to "seeing" everyone again.
Terri, great job! I love the expression that you have captured in this guy's face. It makes me wonder what he is thinking about. Looking forward to more mug shots, right?
