I painted this as a birthday gift to my dear friend Kristina. Kristina is one of the most insightful, compassionate, and fun people I know and had the great privilege to work with when she was a therapist at our hospital. Since we've both more or less retired, we've had lots of fun play dates, indulging in various crafts, cooking projects, and gallery explorations, as well as kayaking with our husbands. She's always coming up with something new and interesting to do, which most recently was cheese making! She was a pleasure to paint and I hope I did credit to both her inner and outer beauty.
